Endurance Drinking Games
The simplest type of drinking game is the endurance game. Props and thinking aren’t necessary to play this type of game. All the players have to do is to out-drink each other and whoever is left standing is declared the winner. These kinds of games don’t need a lot of players in order to be played as two players are enough.
This type of game takes the form of a duel of sorts in which friends test each others’ strengths. That’s why these games are also referred to as tolerance games. The best part is that skill is not required and the only things you need are speed and yes, tolerance.
Another way to challenge opponents to an endurance game is to play a waterfall, a fountain, or a cascade. This is when each player continuously drinks from his or her cup until someone else can’t drink anymore.
A game called power hour is the most famous endurance game there is because it is quite easy to play, requiring only a shot glass and a beer for each player and a clock to time the game. The object of the game is for players to each take a shot of beer per minute for an entire hour and the one who is left standing, or who isn’t running to the bathroom, is considered the winner.
Another game called Ten Minute Warning is similar to Power Hour with a little bit of a difference. Instead of a one hour interval, it is only for ten minutes, but this isn’t the catch. Like Power Hour, this involves taking beer in shots. For the first minute, you take one shot of beer but for the second minute, you take two shots until you reach ten minutes. In the end, after ten minutes, you will have consumed a little over nine beers in just that small amount of time. Endurance games are not for the weak and cowardly. You need a lot of practice to win at this type of game.
