Quarters Drinking Game
Quarters is one of the most popular and convenient drinking games. Like a lot of drinking games, this game has a lot of variations. This is because this game is very well-known especially in the United States, Canada, Germany, and South Africa (where it is known as coinage) and is usually played in colleges and universities.
All you need for this game are the following: a table, a shot glass, your drink of choice, and of course, a quarter. The game starts when the first player bounces the quarter. This player is referred to as “the shooter” and the object of the game is to bounce the quarter off of the table and into a shot glass or cup. If the quarter lands in the cup, the shooter can pick someone to drink and they continue to play until their shot misses the cup and when that happens the game then proceeds to the next shooter using the clockwise formation. If someone makes three shots in a row they can make a rule and whoever breaks that rule must drink.
In another variation, every round starts off with a glass filled with beer in the middle of the table and two people on each side of the table having a quarter and a glass. When one of the players shoots his or her quarter into the glass, he or she passes their glass to the player on their left. If the player to the left still has a glass, the player taps the glass with his then the player who has glass has been tapped must drink the glass of beer in the middle of the table, refill it, then try to shoot the quarter into their glass before they get tapped again. This is happening while the game is still going on around the table.
This game is fun as it requires accuracy and concentration when you’re intoxicated. Other variations depend on the number of players and their drink preference.
