Beer Checkers Drinking Game

Beer Checkers is exactly like regular Checkers game, but instead of using checker pieces, cups of beer are used.

In order to play, you will need a checkerboard that’s preferably waterproof, 24 cups, and at least a six-pack of beer. To make this game more official, you can actually purchase a Beer Checkers set. These sets come with clear and frosted mini beer mugs that make it easier for players to differentiate their pieces.

Setting up the game is exactly the same as setting up a normal checkerboard with 12 cups on each side. The cups only need to be half-filled and players should remember to use light and dark beer if they have no other way to differentiate their pieces from one another.

If you are already an avid checkers player, then you won’t have any problem playing beer checkers. The rules of checkers apply to this game; the only difference is you get to have refreshments while you play. When a piece gets to the king’s row, it becomes a king and the cup is filled to the brim. When a piece/cup is jumped by the opponent, the owner of the cup has to drink from the jumped cup.

A player wins the game when their opponent’s pieces are eliminated or blocked. The loser has to drink all the remaining beer on the board.

If someone is a weak drinker, the half cups of beer can be exchanged for double shots of beer.
