Bring On The Deck!

Card games are one of the more popular versions of drinking games. All you need is a drink of choice, a deck of cards and a bunch of willing friends. Card games are great for breaking the ice, especially at a party where the people don’t really know each other.

The most popular card drinking games have crude names such as: Asshole, Screw the Dealer, and Bullshit.

Of all the card games, Asshole is probably the most well-known. The object of this game is to get rid of your cards as quickly as you can in order to become the president in the next round of the game. The longer you take to throw down your cards, the lower your ranking is on the totem pole of the card game. Like all other card games, Asshole has a lot of variations and the type you decide to play really depends on you and your fellow players.

In the game called Bullshit, it is better to not have more than six players to have an orderly game. The players start by sitting in a circle and having the cards dealt evenly to each of them. The object of the game is to get rid of all your cards. The game starts when the first player lays down an ace, or aces down, stating the number of aces they have. The player can either be telling the truth about how many aces are in the hand or they can lie about it. Lying is encouraged and actually makes the game fun. If someone from the circle thinks you’re lying, he or she can call you on your bluff by saying “Bullshit!” If that person is right, you have to drink the amount that is similar to the number of cards that have been played in the stack. However, if you weren’t lying and someone still called you out, they have to be the one to drink. The game continues even after someone is declared the winner by letting the last two opponents compete with one another.

You have to give props to whoever decided to use cards as a prop for drinking games. It not only gives a deck of cards more purpose, but also makes them seem a lot more fun, doesn’t it?
